But We Were On A Break!

relaxing2

This site has been up since November 13, 2011.  That was the date of the first official post to the site.  From then until today, it has been 203 days, or 17,539,200 seconds, or 292,320 minutes, or 4872 hours, or 29 weeks (those are rough approximations.)  In the scheme of things that isn’t all that much.  It’s about 1% of my life so far.

That means for 99% of my life you weren’t that interested in what was going on with me!  Man I could have lived with that.

The past 17,539,200 seconds have seen their share of ups and downs.  Chemo working – chemo not working.  Surgery working – surgery not working.  But all-in-all I’ve had a pretty non-event recovery and for that I’m very, very glad.  It was fun to share and it helped me compartmentalize what was going on so I could get on with other life-maintenance stuff.

I’ve heard that a couple of people have used this site as a resource when a friend or family member was diagnosed with cancer (bladder cancer specifically) and I’m glad it helped.

And that brings me to this post.

I’m Taking a Break

You won’t be seeing much of me from now on.  Believe me that is GREAT news.  That means things are going so well it is extremely boring.  And you didn’t sign up for boring.  I might post every three months to let you know how my CAT scans are.  Maybe not even then if there is nothing to report.   The good news is you don’t have to do anything.  If I don’t update – you don’t get an email.  If I do – you do.  No big deal.

I’ll be leaving the site up just in case someone needs a link to something on cancer or bladder cancer.

Thank you all for allowing me to vent and to have a place to share what was going on.  You’re responses were heartfelt and I truly appreciated all the good thoughts, prayers and good vibes.  I am positive they helped bring me to where I am and have made it that much easier.

So – I’ll see you sometime in the future – and if someone you know has an issue with cancer feel free to share the email address from your subscription – I’m more than happy to help in any way I can.

In homage to my Dad – Bye Bye and Buy Bonds

Hebert Out (for now…)!
