A journey of a thousand miles…
I know – cliché. But so true.
I’ve not posted as much because there really isn’t much to say. It’s been about 40 days since the surgery and things are going great. The holes where the robot arms went in are almost completely healed. I still have a bit of open wound where the big 6” slice was made but that should be all healed in another two weeks. I’m moving good and sleeping good.
Wife and I took a walk around the neighborhood on Sunday – a little over ½ mile. I could have done another lap but wanted to get in and pee. I don’t like to push it too close to the blow-out limit. Which, if you really want to know – is getting a bit better too. I can walk a little farther, get up a bit quicker and hold it a bit longer than last week. I think the muscles are getting a bit stronger each day.
I am getting a lot more sleep – actually staying asleep for 4 hours at a time without getting up and down and without wetting the bed. (Hey… for us with fake bladders – that’s a freakin’ accomplishment!)
I gotta say it again… it is weird and wonder at the same time to be able to use the bathroom pretty much like before and know all the insides are new and different. I can’t thank the Dr.’s enough for their hard work and skill.
My next Dr. appointment isn’t for another three weeks I think and I don’t really expect too much to change between now and then. If something strikes my fancy I might post but right now it looks like it’s just straight ahead… no problems, now emergencies, no issues.
I know it doesn’t make for great blog fodder but it makes me and the family much happier.
So… until I feel the need again – thanks for paying attention and please – take care of yourself… get checked.
Oh… below is a video I used in my business blog today and thought it would be good for all of you to see… it’s how I want my last 10 years to be (more so now than ever before.) Email subscribers will have to click through to see the video.
