Chemo Part Deux
Second verse same as the first – just shorter.
So – been through week one – no big issues…. little nausea but no real hurls and stuff. Some fatigue but that could be due to a serious decline in caffeine intake. Went in yesterday for the second treatment – only takes about 2 hours for that one – but we had do to a “meeting” first to go over blood work and such so it still took 4 hours of time.
My white count is down – they say that’s a good thing because it shows the chemicals are killing things in my body (and by extension I assume they mean any cancer cells… ) But they said my red cell count was up which it shouldn’t be (I think they underestimated my above average physiological make up) – but they think that may be due to dehydration – gotta up the water I guess. All in all – they think I’m doing great and frankly – I can’t complain. Other than just some discomfort for a few days not a big issue.
By the way – someone did take my chair – and loudly declared it was the best chair in the room and he was gonna have to get it himself from then on. Not so fast old man! That was my chair first. Might have to throw down with a 70 year old with diabetes and cancer next time! Hey – it’s not me – it’s the chemo making me angry.
Today is great after the chemo yesterday. Nothing new- feel like myself. Really happy about that since I get to chow on turkey tomorrow – and stuffing and… well you get it.
That’s about it… nothing real new to update. If this is the way it will go it will get pretty boring.
