Chemo Vacation
This is a by week for me on the chemo. It’s funny – I’d almost rather be sitting in MY chair (yeah – I’m talking to you old man who took my chair last week… I’m watching you) doing something. It almost feels like I’m slacking off by not getting chemo. My brain keeps sayin…
Paul… you gots cancer growin in ya… do something!
Last week was fabulous. No nausea from the last treatment which meant me and the wife and kids eliminated a 6 hour cooking effort in a little under 10 minutes. There just isn’t a lot to talk about with that kind of food on the table. I was worried I wouldn’t feel well enough to enjoy Thanksgiving, but based on the size and number of servings I had it was a worry I didn’t need to have.
Other than the occasional bout of fatigue (which I still attribute to a severe caffeine withdrawal) I’m almost feeling guilty how well I feel. I know that can change and as the various rounds of chemo add up I’m sure it will take it’s toll. But for now – Thundercats Are Go!
I’ll update next week after my mega dose and let you know how it went and if I had to go all nuclear on the guy in my chair. I might see if I can take some pics so you can get an idea of the layout.
Remember – check the bowl!
